Mr Oh Chee Eng
is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Legends
Fort Canning Park. He is also the Managing Director of The
Legends Golf and Country Resort in Malaysia. Mr Oh played
an active part in establishing The Legends brand and is
now responsible for developing The Legends Fort Canning
Park into a vibrant members' town club in Singapore. He
leads a professional management team in providing members
and customers with high service levels as well as in overseeing
all aspects of the business operations, marketing and growth
of the town club.
Prior to the establishment
of The Legends Fort Canning Park, he was instrumental in
the development of The Legends Golf & Country Resort
in Johor Bahru, rated by The Business Times as the Number
One Golf Course in Johor in 1998, 1999 and 2001. He continues
to play a key role in the supervision and management of
an experienced team of professionals there that looks after
the day-to-day running of the top-ranked golf resort.
Mr Oh has been working in the property
industry since 1978. He has held senior management and executive
positions in companies such as Tropik Sentosa, First Pacific
Davies Singapore, Kebun Sedenak, Misarde Investment and
Sindo Realty. With well over 20 years of experience as a
property developer, investor and consultant, he has significant
in-depth experience in every aspect of the real estate business
in Singapore and Malaysia . His professional background
has given him the opportunity to cultivate an astute business
sense for the property and resorts markets.
Mr Oh graduated from the University of Singapore in 1978 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. An accomplished golfer and all-round sportsman, he is married and the proud father of three active young sons.
Mr Herbert M. Hofer
General Manager, The Legends Fort Canning Park
As the General Manager of The Legends
Fort Canning Park, Mr Herbert M. Hofer leads the management
and operational teams to establish a vibrant members' town
club in Singapore. Under his management, the club will offer
a best-value-for money membership programme, deliver and
maintain high service standards and provide top-class facilities
for wellness, dining, events, meetings, recreational and
entertainment needs. This will ensure that the club meets
the exacting lifestyle and business needs of both members
and customers.
An Austrian national, Mr Hofer has
over 20 years of professional experience in the management,
operations, and the sales and marketing of international
business hotels, resorts and private luxury clubs in countries
across Europe and Asia. His experience has given him a business
savvy edge in the hospitality industry. He is also a strong
staff motivator with an excellent track record in developing
his staff's talents.
Before arriving
in Singapore in 2001, he worked in leading five-star hotels
managing hotel as well as food and beverage operations in
New Zealand, China and Hong Kong. His career highlights
include the opening of an international hotel in China and
various prestigious restaurant projects as well as renovation
programmes around the world.
Mr Hofer holds
several professional hotel, and food and beverage management
qualifications such as those from the Amt der Burgenlaendischen
Landesregierung in Austria, Cornell University, U.S.A. and
the Ecole Hoteliere de Launsanne of Switzerland. A well-travelled
and well-read Singapore permanent resident, he is married
and is the doting father to one young daughter.
